The Foundation for Shamanic Studies

Founded by internationally renowned anthropologist Michael Harner with a three-fold mission to study, to teach, and to preserve shamanism, the Foundation for Shamanic Studies has built a reputation of consistency and dependability by providing reliable training in core shamanism to interested learners worldwide.

Society for Shamanic Practitioners

The Society of Shamanic Practitioners is an alliance of people deeply committed to the re-emergence of shamanic practices that promote healthy individuals and viable communities.

It is a not-for-profit public benefit corporation whose goal is to support the re-emergence of shamanism into modern, western culture. While many other shamanic organizations seek to document and learn from what has been done in the past, the Society is focused on the here and now and is interested in documenting how shamanism is changing and how it is being used as it interfaces with the twenty-first century world.

Esalen Institute

Native American Rock Art

Daniel Bianchetta's sensitive eye finds him creating deeply moving and emotional images of the Big Sur coastline, and following Native American Rock Art sites throughout the Southwest, Canada, and Hawaii. His passion for the Big Sur California coastal tribe, the Esselen, has led him to an in-depth study of their way of life and history. His photographic work is in galleries and private collections all over the world.

The Highland Center

The Highland Center for Health and Healing is run by Sue Jamieson and provides a peaceful, pristine setting for workshops promoting spiritual growth and healing.

Situated on a hill, overlooking a lovely pond with panoramic views of the Worcester Mountain Range, The Highland Center is located in Worcester, Vermont (just 8 miles from Montpelier, the capitol) at the Mountain Mead Farm, a 65-acre tree farm.

The New York Shamanic Circle

The New York Shamanic Circle is dedicated to promoting and supporting a shamanic community in New York City. Through its activities (workshops, monthly Open House Shamanic Circles, Monthly Women's Circles, and The annual Shamanic Gathering in Central Park), NYSC's commitment is to deepen the rich presence of the global shamanic community in NYC. Through its work, NYSC's desire is to promote a supportive community of earth-honoring living in ways that foster environmental and social balance.

The core NYSC group practices healing and journeying work every week since 1997. We work and study with a wide range of powerful indigenous and Western shamans from around the world.

Ana Larramendi is a shamanic practitioner, teacher, minister, public speaker, chef, Vision Quest leader, wilderness enthusiast, and ceremonialist who has been studying and practicing shamanism since 1989. She is an initiated mesa carrier in the Inka tradition.
